Like my current character Dani regenerates health when killing zombies in rapid succession, and her heavy attacks create a shockwave to help stun zombies.
There are 8 unique slayers to play as, each with their own baseline perk(s) that lend to various play styles. Not sure how you feel on the whole ‘survivor power’ preference, such as if you prefer a more helpless survival experience sort of like ‘Last of Us’ where the zombies are a major threat you can’t usually just overpower, or if you like the sort of Dead Rising power growth dynamic where you become a zombie slaughtering machine over time… but Dead Island 2 follows the latter formula in a very satisfying way with lots of customization beyond just the weapons on the ‘how’ your power manifests in a few ways: I’ve logged quite a few hours since release and I enjoy it a lot.Īdmittedly missing a 1:1 community builder equivalent to SoD2, but you do sort of build communities by rescuing and helping people.
